Daniel is an undergraduate research assistant with the SELECT group. His research began with automating the Ford Focus Electric as part of the EVAutomation group. Most of Daniel's work is related to IT and information systems. For the EVAutomation group he selected components and assembled the PC used for computer vision and GPS, and helped to identify points of entry for the electrical group to interface with the on board systems.
Daniel is interested in Big Data and Information Systems. He likes to find answers, as well as find trends in behavior and performance using data. With an emphasis in mechanical engineering under general technology, Daniel has a strong background in mechanics. Daniel has taken several courses in Computer Science and enjoys working to build products that are dynamic, and intuitive.
