Biography

Dr. Prasanth is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Utah Power Electronics Lab (UPEL) at Utah State University (USU). He received the B.Tech. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, India, in 2008, the M.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering, from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics from the Technical University of Denmark, Kongens Lyngby, Denmark, in 2015.  He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore from July 2015 to June 2016. He was a Visiting Ph.D. Student with Colorado Power Electronics Center, University of Colorado, Boulder, CO, USA, from September 2013 to January 2014. His research interests include dc–dc converters, modeling and control of power electronic converters, high-voltage switch-mode power converters, magnetic design, and digital control. He received the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE ECCE USA Conference, Denver, CO, USA, in 2013.
